Nutrition and Physical Fitness: Test Review

For the test on Friday, May 1, 2009, familiarize yourself with the following:

Know the SIX nutrients and what each does for the body
Know that FIVE components of fitness and why each is important
Understand the FIT Principle
Explain the physical and psychological benefits of regular physical activity.

Vocabulary:

Bulimia
Calorie
Metabolism
Basal Metabolic Rate
Body Mass Index
Mode
Target Heart Rate (know how to compute yours!)

The test includes 30 multiple choice questions (3 points each) and 2 short answer questions (worth 5 points each).
