Aim: How can we determine the well-being of a person?
Do now: Evaluate your lifestyle worksheet

Yesterday we defined health and wellness as a combination of our physical, social and emotional well-being. Our health is determined by our lifestyle choices, as well as genetic and environmental factors. We can always improve our health by focusing on the life skills.

Today you will be evaluating your own lifestyle to determine what habits may be influencing your health.

1. Complete the worksheet
2. At your table, discuss the leading causes of death and the lifestyle factors that contribute to these causes.
3. Using the laptops, research one of the top 6 causes of death (using the links on the blog). Make sure each person at the table has a different cause of death.
4. As you research, write down the risk behaviors as well as prevention.
5. Discuss with your group the findings and discuss the similarities.
